Applause, Applause for the working mother! The day and age of stay at home moms has become less and less. I give applause also to the mothers that are able to be home with their babes to raise. This is not a blog to diminish any of the warrior qualities that these home engineers do. They work just as hard. Believe me, I know, I was one! I was a home maker for 15 years and even though marriage was extremely rough, I was given the honor and privilege of raising my two children into young adult hood. Well, they are still teenagers. One is in college and the other is in high school.
Then one day, my dreams were shattered. The marriage was broken. Quickly, I had to move to a new town, with my children and start over. You hear the words “Fresh Start.” My start was less than fresh. I had to pick up the shattered pieces of our happy life and rebuild from scratch. In my next postings, I will talk about some of the struggles of this challenge and life task that I had to go through. I will share the emotions, the physicality, and geographic aspects. I feel this is my way to give back to those who have walked with me through the worst time of my life. At times I just didn’t want to exist anymore because the pain of everything weighed so heavy. There is light at the end of the tunnel whatever stage in your life that you are. You could be on the brink, or even like myself, five years down the mountain and starting to reach a pleasant valley. I can’t tell you how to choose your path but, I can encourage you through reading my story. My encouragement right now, is YES! We can pick up the pieces! There can be success on the other side. Maybe at this point you can’t see it. It will be waiting for you each step of the way as you grasp for it! Start to dream again!
